Professor Yang, who specializes in criminal law and served as a prosecutor before, is one of the suspects. Though sometimes difficult, Professor Yang can also be kind. For example, he assisted Kang Sol A in closing an earlier hit-and-run case.
Who Killed Professor Seo?
Murder mystery unfolding at law school! Professor Seo Byung Joo (Ahn Nae Sang) was found dead on campus, prompting everyone to speculate who may have killed him; possible suspects include Professor Yang Jong Hoon and law student Han Joon Hwi among many more.
Joon Hwi is Professor Seo’s nephew and an outstanding student at Hankuk University. A master at unraveling mysteries, he uses his abilities and connections to investigate this case. He believes it may be related to Professor Seo’s hit-and-run accident; even visiting Ki Du-Seong to gain more information.
Professor Ko was aware of Assemblyman Ko’s involvement, so he confronted him about it and requested someone accompany him during driving trips. Assemblyman Ko denied this claim.
However, evidence reveals that Professor Seo was not alone in the car when attacked by Lee Man Ho – an individual serving a life sentence who attempted to pay Professor Seo bribes in exchange for saving his son’s life.
Sol-B is embroiled in a plagiarism scandal after her laptop was taken by an unknown woman, whom she used to copy and publish Seo’s research without his approval; when Sol A was called to testify by prosecutors as witness she revealed herself as someone similar to Kang Sol A who looked alike when testifying before him – leading students to begin suspecting their cases and question their prosecutors’ corruption.
Season 1
Law students at Hankuk University find themselves immersed in an investigation after one of their professors (Kim Myung-min) is murdered while teaching a mock trial class. Together, these law students work tirelessly to uncover the truth surrounding his murder.
Professor Seo’s nephew, Joon-hwi, is one of the star law students at his law school. Although initially drawn into the case as a suspect, he doesn’t believe that his uncle is guilty – using intelligence and connections, he joins forces with fellow students to discover the truth.
As the investigation unfolds, it becomes evident that numerous parties were connected to Professor Seo’s murder. Assemblyman Ko was behind sponsoring a simulation court which Professor Seo attended, receiving bribes from him on several occasions. Prosecutor Jin was involved as well; he prosecuted Professor Seo’s brother for plagiarism charges prior to Professor Seo’s death – so his involvement is understandable given this connection between these individuals and Professor Seo’s murder could bring more prosecutions of plagiarism charges from being brought up by his successors in particular.
Assemblyman Ko’s new chauffeur, Lee Man-ho, who recently moved in with Professor Seo and was an ex-convict who committed child sexual abuse is another potential suspect; additionally Professor Seo’s former student Jeon Ye-seul experienced dating violence from her boyfriend who secretly installed cameras into her dorm room to monitor her daily activities is another potential candidate for suspect.
Season 2

With its many twists and turns, Law School who Killed Professor Seo will keep you guessing at every turn while its cast does an outstanding job portraying its characters.
Season One begins with a mock court trial and then an apparent professor murder occurs in his office, setting off a chain reaction of events which involve many people including students – each student has some form of relationship to this professor and they seek answers as to who killed them.
At first, there were multiple suspects. But one that stood out is Yang Jong Hoon (Kim Myung Min), a former prosecutor turned teacher. He had strong ties with Assemblyman Ko Hyeong-su and sponsored the simulation court until Professor Seo’s death caused chaos to reign.
Other suspects include Sol B (Ryu Hye-young), who became embroiled in the plagiarism case against Professor Seo. Her mother is a judge who encouraged her daughter to use any means necessary to succeed – even plagiarized papers if necessary! Furthermore, Sol B had her laptop taken and it contained files related to Professor Seo’s investigation of the hit-and-run incident; it may link Sol to this murder as well. Furthermore, Kim Eun Sook (Lee Jung-eun), an engaging professor who makes civil law engaging for her students while dealing with her exoneration by another judge 11 years prior.
Season 3
As the third season of this Korean drama progresses, Law School students find themselves immersed in various backstories and side cases. One such incident involves the murder of Professor Seo Byung-joo – with Han Joon-hwi being one of several suspects for being his nephew.
But the evidence doesn’t add up: Prosecutors fabricated evidence by altering the medical examiner’s report by adding brain damage as the cause of death – to make it appear as suicide and avoid disclosing Assemblyman Ko’s involvement in the hit-and-run.
Yang Jong-hoon (Kim Myung-min), is a former prosecutor who resigned after successfully closing a corruption case involving two fellow prosecutors – both former colleagues of his. After becoming an academic professor, Assemblyman Ko sponsored his simulation court class at university.
Yang may appear harsh at first, but inside he has an incredible sweetness. He was the one responsible for saving Sol A from Professor Seo’s drugging of her and subsequent near death from hypoglycemia; Yang worried so much for Sol that he ordered her to consume meth in large doses before adding sugar for her survival.
Students work together to uncover the truth about Professor Seo’s murder and determine who committed it. Meanwhile, they also must address issues arising in their personal lives – for instance Sol B’s mother has filed a claim for sexual abuse while Kang Sol A is dating Assemblyman Go’s only son but has experienced dating violence as part of their relationship. With each episode unfolding further and further twists appearing before your eyes, you won’t want to turn away! You won’t want to miss this compelling series until its conclusion!
Season 4
Hankuk University’s esteemed law school is put through its paces when an incident arises during a mock trial class that puts Professor Yang, an experienced prosecutor by profession, under suspicion in relation to Seo Byung-ju’s murder. Kang Sol (Ryu Hye Young), Han Joon Hwi (Kim Bum) and other students collaborate to uncover the truth surrounding Professor Seo’s demise and demonstrate Professor Yang’s innocence.
Law School may take some time to adjust to for viewers as its storylines unfold, but once settled in, Law School delivers with strong performances from both veteran actors and rising stars alike. Furthermore, its unique yet fun premise makes this show worth watching – definitely give it a shot!
This drama opens with flashbacks to Professor Seo’s previous hit-and-run case in which his twin brother was murdered by Assemblyman Ko’s (Lee Man-ho) son James before being sent abroad for study purposes, leaving him emotionally scarred and his family distraught.
At a supervised mock trial, glasses and sugar are found. Soon thereafter, police raid Prof. Yang’s house looking for evidence but come away empty-handed; upon interview by prosecutors he denies his involvement with the murder.
Sol B, however, confronts Yang regarding her plagiarism claim and reveals that the file on her laptop contained his interpretation of Seo’s case. Joon-Hwi later comes into the room and presents him with a sugar sachet similar to those found at Seo’s crime scene – perhaps linked with Seo’s demise?
